Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2025

Melocade (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account information — your name and email address when you apply to our beta programme or create an account.
  • Application details — your primary device type and your motivation for joining the beta, submitted via our application form.
  • Feedback — bug reports, feature requests, and other feedback you submit through the tester portal.
  • Contact messages — messages you send via our contact form.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Manage your beta tester account and application status.
  • Send you important updates about the beta programme and the apps you are testing.
  • Respond to your feedback and support requests.
  • Improve our products and understand how testers use our apps.
  • Enforce our non-disclosure agreement and beta programme terms.

3. Information sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers — trusted companies that help us operate our services (for example, Supabase for database and authentication, and Vercel for hosting). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal requirements — if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@melocade.com.

5. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. All data is stored on Supabase infrastructure with row-level security policies applied. Authentication sessions are managed via secure, HTTP-only cookies.

6. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data.
  • Object to or restrict processing of your data.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@melocade.com.

7. Cookies

We use a single, essential session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is HTTP-only and contains no personally identifiable information beyond an encrypted session token. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
